The health tourism authorisation
Clinics that treat international patients hold an additional health tourism authorisation. This is a separate approval specifically for serving patients who travel for treatment, and it signals the clinic is set up and permitted to do so properly.

What regulation actually covers
Licensing is not a one-off stamp. It covers the standard of the premises, the qualifications of the staff, equipment and hygiene requirements, and ongoing supervision by the Ministry of Health.
